2010 Citizen of the Year Announced!
The Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Moreno Valley resident Tracey Vackar will be the Chamber's 2010 Citizen of the Year. Tracy and husband Ron moved from Orange County to Moreno Valley in 1983 and she has been active in both school and community programs/committees ever since. Tracy currently works for the Riverside County Office of Education as the Career Technical Education Project Coordinator. Mrs. Vackar also serves as President of the Moreno Valley Unified School District Board, Morning Optimist Club of Moreno Valley Vice President, President of the Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center and Vice President for the Riverside County School Board Association.

Regarding this year's recipient, Chamber Chairman Terrance Davis said, "The Citizen of the Year award is presented annually to a resident who has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of Moreno Valley and enhancement of the community's reputation. Tracey Vackar received nominations from several people this year and the Chamber is pleased to present her with this much-deserved honor"

Shop Local, Shop Chamber Members!
The way to stimulate local economy is to support local businesses. Moreno Valley Chamber Members support our community by volunteering, donating, being active in service clubs and most importantly doing business and employing here locally. B.I.A. and Wake-Up locations have moved!
Starting August 5, 2009 our weekly B.I.A. meetings will be hosted by BJ's Restaurant at 22920 Centerpoint Dr. We will meet at 7:30 a.m. weekly (4th Wednesday will be Wake-Up Moreno Valley). We have also moved the Wake-Up Moreno Valley venue to BJ's and will now be on the 4th Wednesday of every month starting August 26, 2009.
